Maybe she turned her friend's apartment into a loud party pad, maybe or disrespect ed people there? Or some issues with her that may have been affecting the well being of other tenants perhaps. Watching this from the Dominican Republic. I've lived here for 9 years and owned 2 different restaurants. I have a number of friends from here who relocated in Thailand. I just sold my biz and have had enough of the Corruption here. Interesting for me to see some of the reasons he's leaving and why I'm leaving here. This is the #1 vehicular death per capita driving country in the world. So I get that reason. Food? just don't buy "chicken feet" or Blood soup"! lots of strange shit here also. I don't touch it. Greeny, I will be spending 7 nights on Koh Samui in beginning of April 2025. Should I split it between Lamai Beach and Chaweng? Maybe 4 in Lamai early week and 3 in Chaweng on a weekend to finish? I am in my late 40's and have never been to Samui but would like a good taste of the island including nightlife. What do you think?

On holiday in Jomtien, but I was in Columbia for 6 months in 2021, I got that seedy feeling a few times at night in Cartagena square, but managed to get somewhere safe prior to being robbed. But in Medellin I was attacked by one out of control beauty in my apartment with a carving knife , I managed to remove it from her before I got security to take her away, ..but then I drank the cola she brang to my condo ..and it must have been laced with scopomine because I fell asleep and woke up next day at 8pm in the evening...I won't be going back.

I much prefer the older style condos - way more bang for your buck than the increasingly tiny modern ones. However the upside of being in an okder building with all the possibilities of doing a gut renno to your own taste is also actually the downside. As everyone else can to. I have a friend living in a really nice older block who bought and rennovated - took 4 months. But then almost as soon as he moved in the one above did the same thing, then one across the landing and then below his someone bought two and knocked them into 1 which took 7 months! Bottom line in 2 years he's barely had a day without hammer drilling. Obviously if he didn't own he'd just have moved out ages ago - been hell he says

These people, especially Americans, need to realize that no one outside of the US cares about your feelings. Discrimination is alive and well throughout the world. I've lived in Japan (for work) for the last three years with my Thai wife, and we experience discrimination daily. At the customer service level, we are treated pretty well, but outside of that, we are nothing more than an inconvenience to them. We have been denied entrance into restaurants and bars because we don't speak Japanese. Imagine that happening in the US, the left would have a field day with something like that. I also work with other Americans who are married to Japanese spouses, and they are treated differently than traditional Japanese couples. Their children are also treated differently at school. Your entitlement is only important to you, no one else.

I haven't been to Vietnam, but there's a Viet community in my US city--Philly and I went to school with Viet kids once upon a time. They're just not friendly. I go to a Viet market every month or every other month (as well as Chinese and Korean...) none of them are friendly. Philly is a savage place. I'm not used to people being friendly anyway.
